Baked Apple and Pear with Coconut Yogurt Topping
Homey goodness with Coconut Yogurt balancing the sweetness of the apples and pears!

Ingredients
- 2 Apples Braeburn or Honey Crisp
- 2 Pears firm but ripped Bosch Pear
- 3 Tbsp Myokos Vegan Butter or Coconut Oil
- 2 Tsp Five Spice cinnamon, start anise, nutmeg, cloves and pepper
- 4 Tbsp Real Maple Syrup
Topping
- 4 Tbsp Koko Kai Vanilla Coconut Yogurt
- 4 tsp chopped pecans or roasted nuts of choice or Coconut macadamia nut Granola
Instructions
- Cut the apples and pear in half .Using a small spoon or melon-baller, remove some of the core and seeds.
- Arrange the apples and pears side up in ovenproof dish and top each with a light sprinkling of the five spice, the vegan butter or Coconut oil, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Cover loosely with foil.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking approximately 10 - 15 minutes more, or until golden. Divide the apples and pears carefully between serving plates and pour over any pan juices.
- Serve warm by themselves or with a dollop of Koko Kai North Shore vanilla Coconut yogurt and enjoy!
